About the event
The AP Environmental Science exam consists of two parts:
- Multiple-Choice Questions: This section includes around 80 multiple-choice questions, and you have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete it. Each question has four answer choices.
- Free-Response Questions: This section contains four free-response questions:One question asks you to design an investigation or experiment. You have 10 minutes to review the materials and then 20 minutes to complete the question. One question is based on a quantitative data set, and you have 15 minutes to review the materials and 10 minutes to complete the question. One question requires you to analyze an environmental issue. You have 15 minutes to review the materials and 15 minutes to complete the question. One question is an argumentative essay about an environmental issue. You have 10 minutes to review the materials and then 30 minutes to complete the question.
To excel in the AP Environmental Science exam, focus on understanding the scientific principles of environmental science, the causes and consequences of environmental problems, and potential solutions. Practice applying your knowledge to real-world situations, conduct fieldwork when possible, and stay updated with current environmental issues and developments in the field.
